No one has answered my questions in other places so I am wondering if anyone knows.

Did the fistula closures also remove or reduce the scarring tissue from the site?

Obviously , your best bet to get an answer is buying the paper, where most likely a summary of all healing impacts of the ADRCs will be described.

Full text access at Springer

Just 39,95 $ and you have it. :yep:

It is common knowledge that Scleroderma is basically an autoimmune disorder which creates havoc with patients by forming fibrotic tissue at the hands or at internal organs in case of systemic scleroderma. If you like- ADRCs have a great therapeutic healing impact at scarred tissue effected by fibrosis..

Board moderator and Site-owner. I still regret the day I started analysing the prospects of MacroPore (now Cytori) back in 2004- a left-over from the tech-bubble at that time from the century change in my portfolio- and became addicted to Cytori´s fat cell technology.

...so you haven't read it? Or...?

If this paper is so important for Cytori (and I think it is), why can't they pay to make this free? It seems ridiculous to me.

Same with ISR... a paper that was integral to a huge stock price boost (and then many doubts causing a crash back down) is paywalled.

Edit: I think there might be a big difference between scarring in internal organs and in skin tissue, etc.

I'm no lawyer but I'm sure Cytori can't just distribute a scientific paper that has a cost to it. There must be a licensing fee and even then, unsure what legalities surround distribution.

Why don't you just cut and paste a few key sentences into google. Maybe the whole paper will come up on an obscure site

The company can and should buy rights to display the paper for free. I am sure that these sites don't generate more than a few hundred bucks per paper.

Here is a crazy idea...why not call Cytori and ask them your questions ?

Both answers and non answers could be reflective.

I will but we have a lot of people who might be less cryptic with technical matters. So, I asked here first.

I emailed Cytori. From the reply, it seems that perianal fistulas aren't a result of scarring and stem cells aren't meant to reduce scarring, but inflammation. However, although this has not been tested, " there are data suggesting that Cytori Cell Therapy can potentially play a role in modulating fibrosis and scarring".
