Yep, that's what they said .
First of its kind study, a FDA approved study.
Did you know athletes go over seas to have this procedure done ?
Also, the FDA is cracking down on clinics who do this procedure without approvals ! (sure they are)
A news story last night told of this revolutionary new study where they are doing liposuction to obtain fat so they can harvest your stem cells and inject them into your knee for cartilage repair/regrowth. Even had a patient who now "glides" across the floor post treatment. (so must be open label) or maybe from a earlier phase ?
Now the frustrating part...after searches last night and this morning, darn hard to find out more info. Even couldn't find it (for sure) on clinicaltrials.gov.
BTW...one scene showed them placing large syringes of harvested fat into what looked like a centrifuge ! LOL
Someone has the cash to pursue this as we wait another year to see what the ACT-OA trials shows in its cartilage regrowth !!!
Last tidbit was they still are looking for participants for the trial.
Hey guys, just joined the board.
My wife and I attended the Aegis Cytori conference this week and had the pleasure of meeting Dr Hedrick. Must say that it was an enjoyable experience and he seems to be a very up front and honest gentleman.
On another note, you might find this interesting, from Dr Samadi, FOX News consultant and chief of Urology and robotic surgery at a major NY hospital.
